Under the direction of the Director of the Emergency Department, the Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department. The Operations Manager will oversee Service Associates and Business Associates. The position is accountable for managing Emergency Room operations, monitoring the ED Track Board, maintaining equipment and supplies, and ensuring all are operational. Ensures the ED environment is well maintained. Reports issues to the ED Director. Participates in implementing and evaluating assigned responsibilities. Continuously monitors patient bed assignments. Maintains department policies and procedures. Ensures adequate staffing 24/7, 365 days a year. Promotes Montefiore Excellence in patient safety and the human experience.
The Operations Manager requires a dynamic individual with a strong background, excellent communication and organizational skills, and who is ambitious and a self-starter.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Master's degree - preferred
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Proficient EPIC experience required
NYS & NYC Department of Health Regulations

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Compliance and Readiness
Knowledge of Medical Equipment used in the ED
Round-the-clock commitment to ensure operations meet standards
Excellent communication, management, interpersonal, and leadership skills
