Seeking an experienced Packaging Machine Operator Lead to support daily production operations and lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for production oversight, training, quality control, safety, and maintaining efficient workflow within the packaging area.
Location: American Fork
Schedule: Monday Thursday (OT as required)
Shift: 5:00 AM 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of 710 production associates
- Monitor daily production output and workflow
- Train employees using Standard Work Instructions
- Ensure products meet quality, packaging, and labeling standards
- Coordinate production flow with leadership and other departments
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Utilize NAV for inventory tracking and reporting
- Report production output, scrap, and operational issues daily
- Provide hands-on support within the production area as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or packaging leadership experience required
- Experience leading teams in a production environment
- Understanding of Packsize machines strongly preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Reliable attendance and leadership mindset required
