Paramedic license required for this position
This position serves as an integral member of the site and study team including pre-admit, admission, orientation, conduct, discharge and study close.
Performs conduct procedures in strict compliance to the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP s), QA/QC procedures, OSHA guidelines and other state and local regulations as applicable.
Provides assistance in the execution of clinical trials.
Administers Concomitant medications as directed by the physician.
Ensures the well-being and safety of study participants. Provides on-going assessment to identify Adverse Events (AEs) and ensures quality documentation and report of AEs and Serious Adverse Events.
Provides clinical care to subjects in the event of a medical emergency.
Provides administrative and operational support as a member of, and in support of, the site team.
Education: Current Paramedic licensure in the State of Florida.
Experience: o 1-3 years active experience as a Paramedic .
o An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Certification/Licensure: BLS preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Routine standing, walking, sitting. Bending and leaning up to 1.5 hours - changing position approximately every 2 minutes. Lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally. Variable hours including nights and weekends. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Predominantly clinical conduct environment. Non-supervisory, non-managerial.
