Part-Time Thrift Store Associate
Reports to: Thrift Store Manager
Purpose: Support revenue generation through retail operations to fund programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sort, price, and display donated items to control inventory.
- Operate the point of sale system efficiently and accurately handle payments.
- Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and appearance; take corrective actions when needed.
- Engage with customers and donors to build positive relationships and provide excellent service.
- Stay informed about promotions and advertising.
- Work variable shifts, including Saturdays.
Minimum Requirements: - Support organizational mission and values.
- At least 1 year of customer-focused retail experience.
- Strong communication, basic math, and POS system skills.
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and attend to details.
Physical Requirements: - Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Repetitive hand motions and visual focus required.
