Pathologist Opportunity in Miami – 1099 or Full-Time!

Job Description:
The individual will be responsible for examining daily tissue biopsies prepared by laboratory personnel, checking the accuracy of lab tests, and interpreting the results to facilitate patient diagnosis and treatment. They will work closely with laboratory staff and play a vital role in providing timely results as part of a patient's primary healthcare team. M-F availability.

Principal Duties:

This is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities, but a general overview of the work performed:

• Ensure daily specimens are diagnosed in accordance with College of American Pathologists turnaround time standards.
• Work collaboratively with other pathologists, including quality assurance and intra-departmental consultation.
• Maintain an efficient workflow when diagnosing biopsies.
• Comply with all safety and regulatory policies.

Education:

Medical degree with appropriate licensing; American Board of Pathology Diplomate preferred.

Experience:

Experience in gastrointestinal pathology sign-out, including either 1 year of fellowship or 2-5 years of general surgical pathology sign-out with gastrointestinal pathology exposure.

Compensation:

Based on productivity. Benefits available for full-time position.
