Responsibilities and Requirements of the role:
SCOPE AND IMPACT OF POSITION ON THE ORGANIZATION:
Coordinate all activities to ensure that the organization’s payroll is processed accurately and on time. Activities may include accounting, distributing and preparing payments, benefits, taxes, and payroll deductions; calculating overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, and bonuses; maintaining payroll records. Ensure individual employment contracts, regulations, laws, and the organizations employment policy are adhered to.
+ Process payroll for all US entities
+ Provide data entry and input support for Human Resources Information Systems, maintain employee records
+ Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises)
+ Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
+ Coordinate employee deferrals and benefit elections uploads i.e. Fidelity, Highmark…
+ First level support for all HR System related support including payroll, time and attendance and benefit systems
+ Liaise with auditors and manage payroll/benefits audits i.e. 401k, workers compensation, SOX,…
+ Timely reporting for Human Resource Leader and other members of management
+ Maintain/Update employee files, Workday records as needed
+ Maintain the integrity of confidential information
+ Assist Human Resource Leader in other areas as needed
+ Other duties, projects and responsibilities as needed
+ High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years of relative work experience preferred
+ Payroll experience preferred
+ Benefit experience preferred
+ Knowledge of HRIS programs:
+ Workday (not required)
+ ADP Workforce Now preferred
+ Basic knowledge of Human Resource practices and employment laws preferred
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software preferred
+ Ability to maintain integrity of confidential information preferred
+ Ability to multi-task and adapt to a constantly changing work environment preferred
+ Great attention to detail is preferred
+ An analytical mind and good math skills
+ Ability to foster and maintain good employee relations at all levels preferred
+ Excellent communication, prioritization and organization skills preferred
+ Demonstrate written and oral communication skills preferred
+ Understanding of business protocols and workflow preferred
+ Reads and comprehends policies, procedures, instructions preferred
+ Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
+ Communicate effectively with:
+ Members of the Human Resource, HRIS and IT departments both locally & internationally
+ Temporary staffing agency and placement agency representatives
+ Benefit providers
+ Members of other CVCS local and corporate departments and personnel
+ Outside consultants
+ Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
