Pediatric Occupational Therapist Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Alaska licensed or eligible for Alaska licensure
Pediatric Occupational Therapist Preferred Qualifications:
- Pediatric experience
- Continuing education in oral motor deficits
- Interest/willingness to learn oral motor therapy
- Neurological treatment background
Pediatric Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
- Utilize developmental handling skills and knowledge of pediatric development (gross motor milestones and motor coordination) in a clinical setting
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Conduct evaluations and design treatment plans tailored to patient diagnosis and goals
- Set functional, measurable, and attainable goals
- Perform re-evaluations according to department criteria and update goals as needed
- Adapt to in-clinic and telehealth sessions as needed due to COVID-19
