Description: We are currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant to work at an Elementary School near Chester, PA for the upcoming school year! Please see details below.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction as directed by teacher to individuals in a variety of areas including cognitive, gross and fine motor skills, feeding skills, self help skills and behavior control.
- Assist teacher in maintaining health and safety of physically handicapped students by being aware of environment and the potential hazards of each child’s actions.
- Assist students with personal hygiene, including washing hands and faces, toileting, and changing diapers and clothing as needed.
- Monitor and control student behavior in accordance with established guidelines.
- Assist other specialists with physical development activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have experience with children, students, or general caregiving of any age.
- Preferred: experience with Autistic Support, Special Education, or Behavioral Health/Mental Health
- First Aid Certificate including CPR
