About the Position:

As a Pharmacy Director, you're the cornerstone of BRH's hospital's pharmaceutical services, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medication management across all departments. Your role includes:

  • Leadership & Management: Overseeing pharmacy staff, fostering professional growth, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Staying ahead of ever-changing regulations and ensuring the pharmacy meets all federal, state, and accreditation standards.
  • 340B Program Oversight: Managing the hospital’s 340B Drug Pricing Program to optimize savings and compliance while expanding access to affordable medications for eligible patients.
  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing pharmacy programs and policies that enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Quality & Safety: Promoting the highest standards in medication safety, ensuring accurate dispensing, and maintaining a strong culture of quality improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduation from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education.
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of current Pharmacist experience. Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience is preferred.
  • License(s): Current State of Alaska Pharmacist License.
  • Certification(s): Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS.
