Overview
Bowhead seeks a Photographer in support of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at NAS Patuxent River.

Responsibilities
- Collaborates with art teams and develops concepts.
- Employs various techniques to achieve desired results.
- Possesses expertise in shooting, editing, and maintaining photographic equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve technical excellence, meet qualitative and quantitative goals, and deliver results that align with project requirements and deadlines.
- Expertise to help assist a team of PAOs in coordinating public affairs matters with senior military and civilian leadership across multiple commands within NAVAIR.
Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing is required. Allowable Substitution: High School Diploma and five (5) years of experience.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a communication.
- The ideal applicant will also have photography experience with understanding of how to visually tell a story using photojournalism techniques.
- Knowledge in the use of professional level cameras preferred.
- Nikon systems are currently used. Experince using Nikon is preferred.
- Must be proficient in working on a PC and MAC operating systems utilizing Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe computing environments.
- Knowledge of NAS Patuxent River and/or aviation preferred.
Physical Demands: Office Environment - - The environmental conditions consist of computer stations and desks with adequate and adjustable lighting. Chairs are designed to fit the various individuals and the tasks being performed. Ergonomic evaluations are completed as needed, to provide up to date modifications to all work stations.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
