Role Overview

Seeking an experienced PLC Programmer/Controls Engineer Supervisor to develop, maintain, and optimize automation systems for industrial production equipment. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting the implementation of automated manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on PLC programming experience, and the ability to work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

  • 5-day work week 10 pm-8 am
  • Flexible Hours: Production demands require evening and weekend scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain PLC and HMI programs using platforms such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens.
  • Monitor and control production processes, including temperature, pressure, and flow systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
  • Integrate PLCs with SCADA systems, HMIs, sensors, and automated equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and quality standards.
  • Maintain programming documentation, wiring diagrams, and system backups.
  • Support automation upgrades, equipment installations, and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field; a technical diploma with equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3–5+ years of PLC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networking protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and in industrial production environments.
