SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician (Plumber) will work in a team environment to complete routine maintenance and repair projects at Peek ‘n Peak Resort, including but not limited to plumbing, basic carpentry/painting, electrical, heating/cooling, and snow/trash removal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Work in a team environment on maintenance requests as assigned by the Facilities Manager to complete projects within established time frames.
- Complete electronic and hard copy maintenance logs to document project status, daily activities, and convey information to management, departments, or across work shifts.
- Perform a wide variety of semi-skilled preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance at Resort Hotel and Restaurant facilities, including but not limited to plumbing, basic carpentry/painting, light electrical, heating/cooling, and snow/trash removal.
- Deliver efficient, friendly service by communicating with management, co-workers, and guests at all levels.
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, or fixtures using hand or power tools.
- Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
- Repair equipment, devices, or structures using tools including hammers, screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
- Assist project managers with transporting, securing materials, and completing specific tasks to finish assigned work in a safe, efficient manner.
- Maintain company vehicle, equipment, tools, and other supplies in good working condition, reporting required maintenance, damage, or safety concerns to management immediately.
- Develop a working knowledge of operations and equipment in each facility to expedite the completion of maintenance.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in providing comprehensive building maintenance services.
- Construction experience with drywall and painting to repair walls or ceilings with guest or water damage and to fabricate furniture, walls, floors, cabinetry, or shelves.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including replacing and repairing outlets, wall switches, light fixtures, ceiling fans, home appliances, furnaces, and air conditioning units.
- Exhibit high attention to detail necessary to perform repetitive tasks with a focus on quality standards.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment, often in inclement weather.
- Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision with a focus on safety.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational school training preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid driver’s license and an approved driving record authorized through the company’s insurance provider required.

- Ability to visualize how something will look after it is moved or when parts are rearranged.
- Constant movement around the Resort (often in inclement weather) and performing the majority of job duties outdoors for extended periods of time.
