Qualifications include at least 1 year of kitchen preparation and cooking experience, clear communication skills, physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and endurance to stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities involve completing opening and closing checklists, cooking using various equipment, adhering to portion sizes and quality standards, maintaining a clean work environment, and following kitchen policies.
The role requires reporting equipment issues, product shortages, and ensuring proper kitchen procedures are followed. Additionally, the prep cook assists with closing duties and attends staff meetings to suggest improvements.
Other duties are assigned by the Kitchen Manager or supervisor-on-duty.
