Our VinLog team is looking for a new Pricing Analyst

Your Role

In this position, the person will be responsible for determining sell rates and creating quotes (ocean freight LCL & FCL, air freight) for internal/external customers on behalf of VinLog, understanding of market positioning to compete in the beer, wine and spirits logistics services. The person will report directly to the Pricing Manager respecting the policies and procedures of K+N and in close collaboration with the branch offices (NYC/SFO) to achieve group results and a positive & dynamic environment. The position would be in Jersey City, New Jersey with following key areas of involvement.

Your Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Expectations

Analyze current market rate levels to understand and determine how to price each opportunity. Co-ordinate pricing and create quotes (ocean freight LCL & FCL, air freight) for customers. Come up with strategic solutions for customers on a pricing level.
-Quote import/export customers based on VinLog requests (Global community)
-Coordinate with overseas KN offices to collect correct local charges and ocean rates as well as be able to assess data from a variety of sources and use it to prepare the most competitive price for the customer
-Work closely with pricing manager to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies
-Support inquiries with quick and competitive quotes
-Manage pricing updates for existing customers (rates extension and/or revision, monthly market GRI’s (General Rates Increases), quarterly bunker updates (BAF/BUC) etc.)
-Manage pricing for key accounts
-Record quotes in quote log and size of opportunity per trade lane (admin heavy)
-QTC compliance for operational execution
-Manage buy rates on drayage (import/export)
-Develop/maintain standard selling FOB export rates (FCL/LCL)
-Develop/maintain standard import selling rates on key drayage points
-CHB alignment on pricing in tired levels
-Execute external pricing communication in a professional and consistent marketing format

Manage house accounts on behalf of the leadership team:
-Regular reviews with account owners (global VPs/executives)
-RFP management (with account owner) and TQT
-Monthly control of floating charges
-Day to day rate troubleshooting with house accounts
Manage SME spot quotes/accounts
-Not necessarily handled by outside sales therefore quote and follow up with customers
-Over time align the future strategy towards online automated pricing opportunities
