What You'll Do:

The Principal Project/Program Manager in AT&T Technology Services is a senior-level leader responsible for driving complex, cross-functional initiatives that support digital transformation, customer experience improvements, and enterprise-wide technology programs. This role typically reports to a Director or AVP and collaborates with stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, and finance.

What You'll Bring:

From internal communications and job planning documents, the following responsibilities are consistently emphasized:

  • Program Planning & Strategy: Define and execute strategic plans for high-visibility programs, ensuring alignment with business goals 
  • Stakeholder Management: Lead engagement with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business partners, to ensure program success 
  • Program Reporting: Deliver clear, business-friendly updates for executive forums such as Portfolio Reviews, Ops Reviews, and Maniacal 7 
  • Roadmap Ownership: Maintain and update program roadmaps bi-weekly, including content generation, stakeholder previews, and feedback loops 
  • Tool & Process Optimization: Support tool transitions (e.g., to Planview/Enterprise One), refine reporting processes, and manage ongoing tool enhancements 
  • Agile & Release Management: Collaborate with Lean PMO and Agile teams to improve delivery velocity and reduce service disruptions 

What You'll Need:

While specific qualifications may vary by team, the following are commonly expected:

  • Experience: 7–10+ years in project/program management, preferably in technology or telecom environments.
  • Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, roadmap planning, and agile delivery.
  • Tools: Familiarity with Planview, Jira, Tableau, and other enterprise reporting tools.
  • Certifications: PMP, Agile/Scrum certifications are often preferred.

Our Principal Network Project/Program Managers earn between $143,800.00 - $215,800.00 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
