We are seeking a full-time onsite Process Engineer for a contract role in Decatur, IL, starting around March 30, 2026.
- The role involves supporting engineering design, execution, and startup activities within an industrial process plant environment.
- Responsibilities include developing engineering deliverables, coordinating with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams, and supporting construction and commissioning.
- Candidate should have hands-on experience with process design, equipment specification, and core chemical engineering principles, capable of preparing PFDs, P&IDs, and performing calculations independently.
- Experience in designing utility systems, selecting process equipment, and understanding safety device requirements is essential.
- Qualifications include a degree in Chemical Engineering, with proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic software preferred.
- Physical ability to climb stairs and lift up to 25 lbs is required. The pay rate ranges from $40-$60/hr.
