Job Summary
The process technician will oversee the shift schedule and assist in running extrusion lines.
Job Responsibilities
Implement production schedule for product specifications such as dimensions, colors, and profile
Responsible for starting and shutting down production lines
Changes stacks & die’s
Clean die’s
Pull and clean co-extruder screws
Sets and updates all extruder and co-extruder settings
Set McGuire settings
Setup embossers
Assure scheduled line maintenance is completed
Adjust water bath settings
Conducts advanced troubleshooting
Changes and clean vents
Perform changeover tasks according to production schedule
Performs board quality control checks
Perform color testing
Conducts trials
Conduct Line Operator and Lead Operator skill evaluations
Directs/Trains Line Operators, Lead Operator
Ensures good Housekeeping
Communicates supply needs to Material handler
Follows all policies and procedures
Maximizes plant efficiencies
All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

Successful completion of line Operator, Lead Operator and Process Technician tests
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
