Production Supervisor

GENPAK LLC, a leading manufacturer in the plastic foodservice packaging industry – in the Middletown, New York area over 50 years - has an opening for a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR in our Middletown, NY plant.  Essential duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows, but not limited to:

 

• Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Produce product by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
• Maintain production and quality by observing machine operation, detecting malfunctions, and adjusting settings.
• Maintain department job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

 

Basic requirements are:

           

• 3-5 years manufacturing experience. Knowledge of plastics helpful.
• Supervisory experience for unionized production employees; 20+ per shift.
• Basic computer skills including word and excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Quick thinker and able to change direction as necessary.
• Must be able to work various shifts including nights and weekends.
