Professional Land Surveyor (Licensed in Maryland)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in Maryland with over 5 years of experience in land surveying. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in survey project management and will be adept at supervising both field survey teams and office survey technicians. This role includes overseeing Quality Control/Quality Assurance on all projects, managing survey deliverables, and conducting thorough boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and organize field survey crews and office technicians, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.
- Conduct and prepare boundary surveys, topographic surveys, plats, legal descriptions, and construction stakeout, including calculations and cut sheet preparation.
- Administer contracts and manage project scopes from planning to completion.
- Use advanced survey technology, such as 3D scanning, and be proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for efficient data processing.
- Perform deed research and gather jurisdictional data as required for various projects.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Professional Land Surveyor license in Maryland.
- At least 5 years in the surveying industry, with substantial project and team management experience.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and familiarity with survey field equipment. Knowledge of MicroStation or MSHA project delivery is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Land Surveyor licenses in nearby states or Washington D.C. are beneficial.
- Certifications in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software are preferred.
