This full-time, 12-month tenure track Program Director position for the Speech-Language Pathology Program in Ruskin, FL begins January 2025. Responsibilities: Gannon University is committed to excellence in student-centered learning with an emphasis on student learning outcomes. The program works collaboratively, with an emphasis on professional education integrated with liberal-learning student outcomes, advisement of students, scholarly engagement within the Boyer Model of Scholarship, and interactive and collaborative teaching and learning styles. The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program at the Ruskin, FL campus is a full-time 62 credit curriculum. The theoretical and practical professional curriculum consists of advanced courses, research, and clinical experiences relevant to the discipline and align with the certification requirements for the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. The SLP Program is equipped with advanced technology for voice and speech disorder analysis. Interprofessional collaboration is available with other health professions at the campus, including OT, PA, and PT. Speech-Language Pathology clinic space allows supervised student learning to occur with members of the community experiencing disorders of speech, language, and/or hearing. The Master of Science degree program in Speech-Language Pathology is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. A supportive clinical community allows a positive environment for teaching, scholarship, and service responsibilities. Gannon University is located in Ruskin, Florida along the Gulf Coast of Florida in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg/Bradenton region.

Required Qualifications: To be considered, candidates must provide evidence of a minimum of 3 years of full-time higher education experience, including effective leadership within a CSD or SLP program, with faculty and students. Successful teaching methods and productive scholarship as a core faculty member in a SLP program for at least five full-time years is required. The successful candidate must have an academic doctoral degree in a relevant discipline of speech-language pathology, a minimum rank of assistant professor, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, and be eligible for Florida SLP licensure.
