The remote Project Architect will design and lead projects that address the unique needs of behavioral health environments, creating spaces that foster healing, safety, and dignity for patients and staff alike. As a Project Architect in the behavioral health division, you’ll be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from design through construction administration. You’ll collaborate virtually with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical staff, to understand and address the nuances of behavioral health design. Your work will include secure treatment facilities, inpatient clinics, and specialized environments that support mental health and well-being.
What You’ll Do:
- Guide the project team through the design process, ensuring documentation reflects both functional and therapeutic design standards.
- Work closely with clinical experts to create spaces that promote safety, comfort, and recovery for patients while optimizing workflows for staff.
- Apply design strategies that address sensory needs, safety features, and supportive atmospheres, crucial in behavioral health settings.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance to less experienced team members and promoting professional development.
- Oversee the project schedule, budget, and quality control, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and healthcare regulations.
About You:
- Licensed Architect with 8+ years of experience
- Behavioral health design required
- Strong proficiency in Revit
- Deep understanding of design considerations for behavioral health, including inpatient safety, sensory needs, and regulatory standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with clinical professionals, clients, and project team members remotely
