Job Title: Controls Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Controls Manager to facilitate various construction stakeholders through the adherence of technical processes and manage projects from concept to implementation. The role requires leading weekly stakeholder meetings, providing technical support for SCADA systems, and collaborating with engineering and construction teams to enhance system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate various construction stakeholders through the adherence of technical related processes.
  • Manage projects from concept to implementation, ensuring they meet specifications and standards.
  • Lead weekly stakeholder meetings throughout multi-year projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance related to SCADA systems and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and other stakeholder teams to enhance system performance.
  • Thoroughly document Lessons Learned and opportunities for Process Improvement.
  • Travel for 1-2 weeks at a time, provided reasonable notice.
  • Undertake additional duties as required, including commissioning.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with Process Controls or Process Adherence.
  • Project management experience with a client-facing focus.
  • Experience with System Integration, Factory or Site Acceptance Testing, or QA/QC Processes.
  • Prior Multi-Trade Commissioning experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Real-world experience applying Process Management (Controls).
  • Field experience in the New Construction/Large Commercial Construction Industry.
  • Certification or credential in SCADA or software control platform.

Work Environment

The position is onsite in Washington, D.C., with travel to client sites nationwide, accounting for up to 25% travel time. Travel expenses are covered. Join a small start-up company that is continuing to grow.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
