### Position Summary
The Project Coordinator supports excavation and site development projects from start to finish by coordinating schedules, resources, documentation, and communication between field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. This role helps ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
### Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and daily project coordination
- Coordinate labor crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries
- Track project timelines, budgets, and progress milestones
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, permits, contracts, change orders, and reports
- Communicate with clients, engineers, inspectors, utility companies, and municipalities
- Monitor job site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
- Identify scheduling conflicts, delays, or resource shortages and help develop solutions
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, production quantities, and project costs
- Schedule inspections and ensure required approvals are obtained
- Support project closeout activities including final documentation and customer follow-up
### Qualifications
- Experience in construction, excavation, civil construction, or site development preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to read construction drawings and project specifications is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and scheduling tools
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and excavation practices preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
### Preferred Skills
- Understanding of underground utilities, grading, trenching, and earthwork operations
- Experience coordinating heavy equipment and field crews
- Strong attention to detail and deadline management
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
### Work Environment

- Combination of office and field/site work
- Frequent coordination with field supervisors and operators
- May require travel to project sites and occasional extended hours based on project demands
