Project Management Consultant – Renewables Focus

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Management Consultant to join their Central Maintenance – Special Projects organization. This is a 12-month on-site engagement based in Juno Beach, Florida, with up to 25% travel to project sites. You will collaborate closely with a Senior Project Manager to drive a diverse portfolio of Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage initiatives.

We are looking for a professional with 6–10 years of project management experience, ideally within the construction or renewables sector. While a technical background in mechanical/electrical systems or field construction is valued, it is not required. What matters most is your ability to coordinate complex workstreams, communicate effectively across disciplines, and keep projects moving forward on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Senior Project Manager to plan, execute, and close renewable energy projects across wind, solar, and battery storage portfolios.
  • Facilitate project design meetings, propose process improvements, and ensure alignment with scope and objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and technical challenges early, developing practical solutions to keep work on track.
  • Develop and manage team goals, project schedules, and information flow using tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft Office.
  • Coordinate all team members and supervise day-to-day project activities to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Oversee project documentation, including proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and proper filing.
  • Monitor expenses, track budgets, and implement cost-saving measures while adhering to financial targets.

Required Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of progressive project management experience, preferably in construction or renewables.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail even under pressure.
  • Demonstrated team-management and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and documentation management.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license with no alcohol- or drug-related driving offenses in the past five years; license must not be currently suspended or restricted.
  • Successful completion of a non-nuclear pre-assignment screening.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with schedule management tools, particularly Smartsheet.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with SAP and Maximo.
  • Budget and cost-tracking expertise.

Why Join Us

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful renewable energy projects that are shaping a cleaner future. Our client provides a collaborative environment where your project management expertise will be valued and your professional growth supported. The engagement includes per diem in accordance with GSA.GOV rates and mobilization/de-mobilization expense coverage.
