LTS is seeking an experienced Project Manager Senior to support a program within the Department of Commerce. This role involves leading multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and ensuring successful project delivery in alignment with the department’s mission and goals. The Senior Project Manager will play a key role in strategic planning, risk management, and ensure that projects meet regulatory requirements, quality standards, and departmental objectives. This position is on-site in Washington D.C.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical and personnel management to technical and administrative personnel across multiple disciplines such as engineering, application program and systems development.
- Responsible for the overall, day-to-day management of a specific task order or group of task orders affecting the same or related/interdependent systems.
- Schedules and assigns work to subordinates and subcontractors and monitors progress and resolves discrepancies to ensure compliance with work/quality standards and contract/task order requirements.
- Ensures that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order(s) are implemented within estimated timeframes and budget constraints.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, IT, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 8 years of related experience, 4 of which must be in a supervisory role.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise reports and messages to all levels of management.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, with a strong capacity to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design effective solutions for complex challenges.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or similar tools).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing large-scale federal projects with a proven ability to meet deadlines and project requirements.
