Our Accounting & Finance Staffing team is currently looking to speak with candidates who would be a good fit for roles with the specifications below:
Responsibilities:
- Accomplish business objectives by preparing monthly financial statements
- Work closely with other units to maintain data integrity and accuracy of financial statements, filings and reports
- Prepare property tax filings and assist with all acquisitions, audits and year-end tax filings
- Responsible for journal entries, real estate reconciliations and lender compliance reporting
- Maintain and assess entries for acquisitions and depositions
- Handle general ledger accounts, profit-and-loss statements, accruals and reclassifications
- Review current procedures and develop suggestions for improvement as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Accounting, Finance or Business disciplines
- At least 2-5 years of property accounting experience, ideally in commercial real estate
- Advanced Excel and accounting software experience required; Yardi experience preferred
- Familiarity with real estate tax laws, regulations, and practices
- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to prioritize multiple competing tasks according to urgency
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive financial information
