As a Property Accountant, you'll play a vital role in managing key financial aspects of their real estate portfolio.
Position Overview:
The Property Accountant will be responsible for handling a variety of accounting functions, with a focus on CAM and tenant reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAM reconciliations, strong proficiency in Sage 300 or Yardi software, and a thorough understanding of general ledger accounting. This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who is looking to further their career in the commercial real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and reconcile CAM charges for tenants, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations.
  • Perform tenant reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of charges and credits.
  • Prepare and manage general ledger accounting, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor relations.
  • Handle accounts receivable, ensuring accurate tenant billing, timely collections, and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to support property management and other internal teams.
  • Work closely with property managers, vendors, and tenants to resolve any accounting-related inquiries or issues.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in property accounting or a related field within commercial real estate.
  • Strong experience with CAM and tenant reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 or Yardi software is required.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
