Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily on-site operations for public works construction projects (DBB, DB, CMAR)

Enforce schedule adherence, quality control, and safety protocols

Direct and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to ensure timely and cost-effective execution

Serve as the primary on-site liaison between the project team, clients, and inspectors

Manage field documentation, including daily logs, RFI tracking, inspections, and reports

Ensure full compliance with DSA, OSHPD, and other relevant local agency requirements

Conduct pre-task planning, site logistics coordination, and look-ahead scheduling

Lead jobsite meetings and safety tailgates

Support close-out efforts, punch lists, and project turnover

Qualifications:
5+ years of superintendent experience with a general contractor, preferably in public works

Proven experience with ground-up and renovation projects $10M–$150M+

Strong knowledge of California building codes and public agency requirements (DSA/OSHPD/Caltrans)

Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and construction reporting tools

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to manage fast-paced, multi-prime projects while maintaining site safety and quality

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered
