Seeking a Python Developer for a 12+ month contract in Costa Mesa, CA or Dallas, TX (hybrid, 1x/week in-office).
Role Overview:
Design and build backend components of an MLOps platform on AWS, collaborate with distributed teams, and participate in on-call rotations for production support.
Required Skills:
- 5-9 years of Python programming experience with Flask and FastAPI
- Experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, EMR)
- Knowledge of WSGI & ASGI web servers (Gunicorn, Uvicorn)
- Async programming (AsyncIO)
- Experience with unit/functional testing frameworks
- CI/CD practices and tools
- Team collaboration across geographies
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Apache Kafka and Python Kafka clients
- MLOps platforms (SageMaker, Kubeflow, MLflow)
- Big data frameworks (Apache Spark)
- Container platforms (ECS, EKS)
- DevOps/IAC tools (Terraform, Jenkins)
- Python packaging (Wheel, PEX, Conda)
This is a long-term contract with extensions. Background check and drug screen are required.
