The ideal candidate will have experience in executing and developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts and a proven ability to identify, document, and track software defects to resolution.Responsibilities:Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.Develop testing programs addressing database impacts, software scenarios, and usability.Document software defects in a bug tracking system and report defects to developers.Identify, analyze, and document issues with program function, output, online screens, or content.Monitor bug resolution efforts and track outcomes.Create or maintain databases of known test defects.Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proficiency in software testing practices, test case design, and defect tracking tools.Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Basic knowledge of hardware and software concepts, including applications and programming.Basic understanding of engineering principles and design techniques.Familiarity with development tools or languages such as Visual Basic, Linux, or JavaScript.Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.Preferred Skills:Experience developing automated test scripts or frameworks.Experience in Agile or Scrum environments.Why BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
