We are seeking a Manager of Assembly, Test and Receiving Process Inspection to join our team in Canoga Park, California (Los Angeles area).

This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

As manager of Assembly, Test and Receiving Process Inspection, the employees duties will include:

30% - schedule execution of part processing throughput across three process areas

15% - daily program and process tactical planning with peer operation managers to achieve value stream workflow efficiencies

15% - hardware discrepancy, process issue or anomaly resolution

15% - continuous improvement activity and site Q&MA process initiatives

15% - resources allocation, budgeting, staffing and personnel skill basement and development

10% - daily interface with quality and operation integrators on programmatic schedule and delivery planning

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least nine (9) years of related experience or an MBA with 5 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information. Having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Resident, or other status as a U.S. Person is required.

Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have prior Quality Management experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment with a track record of delivering results.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and written/verbal communication skills are required.
  • Candidates should possess the skills to coach/mentor individuals to work effectively under time and budget constraints.
  • Successful candidates will have direct experience in Receiving/Procurement processes/Shipping, production and/or procurement support systems.
  • Preferred candidates will also have experience in reading and interpreting drawings and engineering specifications and have a very good understanding of the Quality procurement process (PO, PPARS, RFMT, OPS, DD1149, 45L, Purchase Labor, Shipping).
  • The ability to adapt in a dynamically changing environment is also a necessary skill for this position.
  • Experience working in a bargaining unit environment is also desired.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
