Compensation: $55 - $70/hr
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, standard clinic hours

Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Certified Radiation Therapist for the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS). This position supports a 5-year IDIQ contract providing radiation therapy services in the oncology department, treating veteran patients undergoing radiation treatment for various cancer diagnoses at the University Drive campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed courses of radiation therapy to patients according to treatment plans developed by radiation oncologists and medical physicists
• Position patients accurately using immobilization devices, laser alignment systems, and imaging verification
• Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment, including IMRT, IGRT, SRS/SBRT delivery systems
• Monitor patients during treatment, documenting treatment parameters and any adverse reactions
• Perform daily quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment
• Maintain accurate treatment records in the electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiation therapy program
• Current ARRT (T) certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Radiation Therapy)
• Active state licensure in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical radiation therapy experience
• Current BLS certification
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident authorization to work in a VA facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Varian or Elekta linear accelerator systems
• Experience in a VA or federal healthcare setting
• IMRT, IGRT, and/or SRS/SBRT treatment delivery experience
• CMD (Certified Medical Dosimetrist) credential

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate: $55 - $70/hr commensurate with experience
