Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Location: Houston, TX Duration: 11 Weeks
Job Summary
A leading healthcare organization in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to support emergency, inpatient, and surgical services. The technologist will work closely with physicians during both routine and complex radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including routine and specialized imaging
Conduct X-rays in the Emergency Department with speed and accuracy
Provide portable imaging services for inpatient units
Assist physicians during invasive and fluoroscopic procedures, including use of C-arm equipment in the operating room
Ensure optimal image quality while minimizing patient radiation exposure
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explaining processes to ensure comfort and cooperation
Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Ensure proper maintenance and operation of radiologic equipment
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
Active Texas state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and equipment
Experience with fluoroscopy and C-arm procedures
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Excellent patient care and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
