Radiology Assistant- Radiology

What you will do in this role:

  • Assist patients while transporting them throughout the hospital.

  • Assist the Medical Imaging Staff and Physicians in performing their duties and to provide support for ancillary areas, when requested.

  • Maintain a safe, efficient and pleasant work environment.

  • Assists patients with completing patient information and history.

  • Accurately enters patient orders.

  • Accurately files patients jackets and films.

  • Answers the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner and relay messages and phone calls appropriately.

  • Assist in keeping TAT down.

  • Assists Technologists as needed.

  • Develops films and monitors dark room tests.

  • Files appropriate reports in the patients jacket.

  • Retrieves X-Ray films as needed.

  • The Imaging Assistant collaborates with physicians, physicists, nursing units, radiation Oncology and other clinical disciplines in making decisions regarding each patient's needs for care.
