The Receiving Clerk (Central Receiving) receives, inspects, and checks incoming shipments against waybills or bills of lading, noting damages and obtaining signatures for verification.
They assist with unloading shipments, ensure proper handling according to labels, and move items to designated storage or departments.
The role involves labeling shipments, maintaining records of special materials and shipments, and answering routine inquiries.
They observe safety protocols, keep the work area clean, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a high school diploma (preferred) and two years of related experience (preferred).
Proficiency with workplace technology, ability to read/write, lift up to 50 lbs., and valid driver’s license are required.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position working Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm, on the School of Medicine Campus.
