Job Title: Regional Sales Director - Justice and Public Safety

Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Position Overview: We are seeking a driven and passionate individual contributor who embodies the sales hunter mentality. Your mission is to close new business and serve as a trusted advisor to the Justice and Public Safety agencies and partners. Qualified candidates should have experience working with (but not limited to) the following: local, state, and federal law enforcement, emergency medical services, fire services, courts/justice departments. Candidates should be well-versed in a variety of technologies to include: video surveillance, emergency communications, cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This position requires strong communication skills, experience in Public Cloud Computing, and a passion for helping clients solve problems.
This position will work remotely from a home office with at least 25% travel to prospect/customer sites.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prospecting, qualifying, and closing new technology-based public safety agency solicitations and agreements resulting in new and recurring revenue.
- Coordinating sales processes with technical engineers to capture business and contract requirements. Creating and delivering sales presentations, demonstrating ROI and value proposition to decision makers.
- Generation of formal quotations and written responses to government solicitations.
- Participating in sales meetings, sales training, networking and business development events and other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of business-to-business sales with history in Information Technology and a proven record of exceeding sales quota - JPS industry knowledge required.
- 2+ years of experience selling Infrastructure as a Service (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP), backup and disaster recovery, communication, and collaboration, and/or security (endpoint or datacenter) solutions; OEM sales certifications preferred.
- Thorough understanding of IT terminology and ability to translate into non-technical terms. Experience selling software as a service (SaaS) solutions to state and local government entities and negotiating/sourcing vendors strongly preferred.
- Proven success building new business relationships (interacting with C-level mgmt.), experienced in and comfortable with cold-calling.
- Prior experience in selling and interacting with Public Safety entities required. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- CRM (relationship management software) experience required, Tigerpaw & Hubspot experience preferred.
- Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
- Experience working with multiple public safety agencies and managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- ISO 9001:2015 training – to be completed within ninety (90) days of hire.
