The main function of the Regional Sales Manager is to develop relationships with potential and existing customers for the purpose of increasing territory growth. This position helps provide training opportunities and product support to dealers and distributors to assist in the sales products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                                                                                      

Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.  Frequent travel by vehicle and/or air.

Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Identify prospective customers and carry out development plan to grow territory                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Maintain demo and consignment within territory. 

Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates

Negotiate details of contracts and payments, and prepare sales contracts and order forms

Consult with clients after sales or contract signings in order to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support

Other Secondary Duties Include: Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports;  obtain credit information about prospective customers;  arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment; help train customers' employees to operate and maintain new equipment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a business related degree

Technology/Equipment: Computer skills and familiarity with social media

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and/or Training: Previous experience in a similar industry, understanding of mechanical equipment and engines

 

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

This position requires frequent travel, usually by plane; frequent sitting, standing, and walking.  Occasional moving, pushing, pulling and demonstrating use of equipment.
