Osceola Regional MedicalCenter is currently seeking a Rehab Aide to join our Physical Therapy team. The position will be Full-time and will have rotating weekend requirements.

Position Summary:

This position requires criticalthinking and adaptability, service excellence and good interpersonalcommunication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, abilityto follow verbal and written instructions and PC skills.

  • Assists with treatment sessions and patient relatedactivities under the direct supervision of the therapist.

  • Anticipates therapist needs and assists with equipmentneeds. Ensures patients are prepared fortherapy and adheres to patient specific needs.

  • Demonstrates proactive and effective communication withpatients and therapists. Immediatelyreports changes in patient status, behaviors and other pertinent information tothe therapist or nursing staff.

  • Provides organization and maintenance of treatment equipmentand supplies. Notifies designee ofunsafe and ineffective equipment. Monitors and stocks supplies at par levels.

  • Acts as transport liaison for patients to and from scheduledtreatment sessions and group activities in a timely manner.

  • Collaborates with patient service departments and communityservice agencies to coordinate and conduct educational outreach programs andlearning activities. Utilizesappropriate methods and material for effective learning, monitors response toeducation and adapts program as needed.

  • Supports hospital initiatives in meeting core measures,patient safety and service excellence goals.
