This contract role as RemoteAccounting Assistant, under supervision, is responsiblefor working on the phone all day in a call center environment to assist internal and external customers by responding to telephone inquiries in a prompt, accurate and objective manner. Duties include: conducting research; spends approximately 95% of the scheduled time on the phone according to business need.


Pay rate: $17-$20 per hour


Remote in IL, NM, OK, MT or TX


Responsibilities:


        Respond to general account billing inquiries for internal and external customers.

•        Research the internal resources to gather and verify other group information (effective date, active status, premiums, etc.)

•        Prepare monthly account reconciliations involving basic numeric comparison.

•        Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.


Job Requirements:


        High School Diploma or GED.- Education verification is required,

•        1 years experience in accounting OR 12 credit hours of accounting coursework.

•        PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

•        Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

•        Aptitude for math and 10-key skills.

•        Detail oriented.

 

Preferred Job Requirements:

 

        1 year call center customer service experience.

•        Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

•        Experience working in BlueStar.

•        Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
