Research Internships offer a dynamic environment for advanced research in fields like computing, healthcare, and the environment, led by top scientists and engineers.
In the Machine Learning and Optimization group, interns focus on integrating Large Language Models with optimization for decision-making, designing algorithms, conducting experiments, and contributing to impactful research.
The 12-week program pairs interns with mentors, encourages initiative, and involves collaboration, presentation, and potential publication.
Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Operations Research, or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience in C++, C#, or Python.
Preferred qualifications include experience in optimization, machine learning, LLMs, simulations, and distributed systems.
Interns should be located at the worksite, and application requires references, a cover letter, and work samples.
Compensation varies by location, with benefits depending on employment terms.
