Research Technician-Assistant

The Research Technician Assistant will support research at the intersection of machine learning and environmental economics/policy, focusing on leveraging Earth Observations and administrative datasets to estimate monetary values of ecosystem services.

• Train and evaluate machine learning models.
• Process large geospatial datasets.
• Implement quasi-experimental research designs.
• Assist in drafting presentations and manuscripts.
• Present findings at meetings and conferences.
• Build databases.

Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in economics, computer science, statistics, public policy, or similar, with experience in Python machine learning tools and good communication skills. Preferred qualifications involve working with geospatial/environmental data, a background in sustainability, or research assistant experience.
