- The client is seeking a commercially minded and insight-driven leader to oversee Retail's largest sector and cross-sector initiatives, such as Retail incubator programs and strategic pillars. This role will enable you to foster innovative collaboration across teams and functions.
- You will craft scalable narratives, and bolsters Retail's growth by anchoring on critical business objectives and collaborating at scale to amplify impact.
- You will manage research alongside our Research Lead and Marketing teams, derive actionable insights from diverse sources, and help manage our thought leadership efforts to ensure the client has a unique and compelling stance internally, and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Vertical Strategy:
- Lead the development and execution of EMEA’s Retail marketplace strategy in close alignment with global priorities.
- Client-Facing Engagement:
- Participate in strategic client meetings, presenting insights and narratives that drive strategic alignment and marketplace adoption.
- Narratives:
- Craft compelling, insight-led narratives tailored to Retail clients, addressing business challenges and showcasing platform value.
- Create single-to-scale narratives that anchor on business objectives and support the biggest industry opportunities for Retail.
- Translate complex concepts into simple, insight-led stories that demonstrate platform value and differentiate our offering in the market.
- Support incubator products and key pillars (that are xSector) to support Retails next revenue generating moments.
- Craft insight-led, commercially relevant narratives that scale across sectors and client segments.
- Package and deliver compelling insights and content that shape strategic sales conversations and external thought leadership.
- Work xFN to complete narratives (e.g., Marketing, GTM, leaders xSector, etc.).
- Insights-Driven Commercial Impact:
- Collaborate with Research Lead and Marketing Insights/Partners to ensure insights are novel and actionable.
- Translate complex data sets (internal and external) into actionable insights that inform retail growth strategies and marketplace evolution.
- Derive and share powerful category and industry-level insights from 1P and 3P sources to inform strategy and storytelling.
- Leverage insights to help sales teams effectively communicate the “Why Us?” and address key client priorities in every narrative.
- Thought Leadership:
- Partner with Execs/Leaders or xFN with Marketing to identify external media opportunities and publish POVs and client successes to position as competitive leader in the space.
- Build keynotes at scale, and positioning to service new product areas and/or pillar programs.
- 8–10+ years of experience in Strategy, Consulting, Retail Media, Go-to-Market (GTM), or Insights, ideally within a tech or platform environment.
- Strong storytelling and narrative design skills—able to create clarity from complexity and align narratives with business objectives.
- Experience leading research initiatives, synthesizing qual/quant data, and translating insights into actionable business strategies.
- In-depth understanding of Retail sector trends, revenue drivers, eCommerce, marketplaces, and Retail Media.
- Familiarity with incubator product strategies and the broader retail innovation landscape.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
