Job Summary & Duties

The Retail Team Lead will assist the management team in the execution of day-to-day operations of the dispensary and supervising sales. The Retail Team Lead is responsible for creating an environment that promotes employee learning and customer service through encouragement and coaching. Retail Team Leads are responsible for the growth of sales and success of their staff. In addition, the Retail Lead ensures guests receive unparalleled service, brand standards are upheld, and oversee all retail aspects of the dispensary. Retail Team Leads will assist in identifying the priorities of each day, delegating what needs to be done and training the budtenders. This position will partner with the management team to ensure that operational and brand objectives are met even in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, inspire, and coach employees to create a customer friendly environment resulting in a memorable and positive customer experience, building customer retention, strong relationships, brand awareness, and loyalty.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by observing, listening, interacting, and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and issue resolution.
  • Provide necessary support to management team to ensure store operations run in compliance with applicable state and local laws and regulations.
  • Work directly with the management team to communicate, direct and solve concerns as they occur on the Retail floor.
  • Play an active part in customer and employee education on products, methods of consumption and safety as part of customer interactions.
  • Perform store opening and closing procedures in alignment with company standards.
  • Identify and delegate daily priorities to the retail team.
  • Accurate use and maintenance of the POS system.
  • Assist with merchandising, operations, marketing, and execution of store and company standards.
  • Facilitate training and development of all team members to improve performance and drive employee engagement in developing key selling and operational skills that enhance customer experience.
  • Enable and support change in policies, procedures, and products.
  • Reconciling cash from transactions and sales reports.
  • Other tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 1-3 years of retail, restaurant, or service-related environments. Cannabis preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license or identification and have reliable transportation.
  • Basic understanding of cannabis products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills including Microsoft office and Google Docs.
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced and high transaction volume, team environment.
  • Poses good organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Analytical, detail oriented and proactive.
  • Desire to improve skill set and willingness to learn and take feedback and coaching.
  • Continuous mobility through the dispensary daily including but not limited to standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
