Ridge Kids Room Leader

Ridge Kids Room Leader (approx. 5 hours on Sunday – 8:00am to 12:30pm)

Reports to: Ridge Kids Director

Hourly Rate: $13.00/hr.

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

The Ridge Kids Room Leader will have a specialized role that will allow a person to use their gifts to lead a room of children while developing volunteers and growing our team. This person will only be present on Sundays for both services and will be assigned a specific age group. All materials will be prepped for each room upon your arrival.

Overall Responsibilities:

1. Oversee a nursery, preschool, or elementary aged room.
2. Equip volunteers to assist.
3. Help recruit volunteers.
4. Occasionally lead huddles.
5. Build personal relationships with the children and families who are a part of your room (i.e. learning and remembering names, praying for specific things when asked, etc.).
6. Be available to work most Sundays.

Serve on the overall The Ridge staff team which includes:

1. Act as an ambassador for The Ridge by positively reflecting the vision, mission, strategy, and values to those inside and outside our walls.
2. Be able to assess and advise attendees and volunteers as to how and where they can take their next steps towards God and within the ministry.
3. Attend training events or other meetings that relate to your role (paid time).
4. Actively engage in the life of The Ridge by gathering, connecting, serving, giving, and inviting.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
