*Assists the Medical Providers with patient care management and plan of care.
*Conducts monthly audits of client records and present the results to the QA committee.
*Develops an action plan to address trends and incidents.
*Conducts preliminary nursing assessments.
*Reviews policies and procedures with directors and participates in any changes that need to be tailored to the operation of Amanecer Detox & Rehab unit(s).
*Conducts monthly supervision of the nursing staff and presents any issues or concerns.
*Conducts “Health Related Topics” group meeting as needed.
*Assists program directors with the day to day operations as needed and ensures patient services are being provided.
*Participates in quarterly infection control meetings as needed.
*Adheres and implements policy and procedures and guidelines according to DEA, OASAS, SAMSHA, and DOH regulations.
*Monitors and reports detail inventory control medication computations and changes according to each tour to Nursing Director.
*Ensures nursing staff maintain monthly, weekly, and daily reports for accountability of daily medication administration activities.
*Ensures nursing staff prepare and assess clients at the time of intake, and then on an on-going basis if new medical or nursing needs are apparent, communicates to the client's on-site attending medical provider.
*Ensures nursing staff perform nursing assessments during each medication dispensed for each client to identify alertness and orientation.
*Performs technical skills such as vital signs, phlebotomy, and various lab collection procedures according to CLIA guidelines, during nursing assessments and evaluations for intakes, client visits, and plan of care as needed.
*Implements nursing care effectively and with courtesy according to clinic policy and procedures.
*Assists medical providers and other employees as needed.
*Documents pertinent information regarding resident conditions as per policy/procedure.
*Maintains accurate documentation of all nursing activities.
*Adheres and maintain security of nursing unit and medication inventory and report any diversion to immediate to nursing director
*Ensures nursing staff maintain appropriate medication dispensing variations according to DEA standards
*Participates in Joint Commission, DEA, SAMHSA, OASAS, and NYS DOH audits as needed
*Manages and documents in the electronic health record.
*Uses a variety of software packages to maintain databases and create complex, custom reports
*Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS: *Minimum three (3) years practical experience in Substance Use Disorder program required; with one year of supervisory experience.
*Bachelor's degree (or must attain a baccalaureate degree or higher in nursing within ten (10) years of initial licensure.
*Graduate of accredited nursing program.
*Must possess a valid and unrestricted NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
*Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
*Current NYS mandated infection control certification (approved by NYSDOH, valid for four years, 4.0 hours).
*Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making.
*Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.
*Must be able to multi-task with strong organizational skills.
*Excellent computer skills and experience with EHR/EMR, including basic word processing and spreadsheet skills.
*Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written form.

*Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality.
*Must have specific training in medication assisted treatment for substance use disorder, abuse, and dependence specific to the services provided.
Obtain within six months of hire: *Supporting Recovery with Medications Addiction Treatment (MAT)
*CASAC Canon of Ethics (6 hours)
*Confidentiality related to 42CFR (3 hours)
*Mandated Reporter (2hours)
