Candidate will be providing technical support to US Federal Government Customers. Because this role is in support of the US Federal Government, the applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
--Routing/Switching - General knowledge of troubleshooting Routing/Switching across Cisco platforms.
--minimum 4 years of Networking experience
--minimum 4 years working knowledge of Networking industry, products and protocols
--Ability to configure, analyze and troubleshoot highly complex networks.
--Proven crisis management skills, and the ability to excel under pressure.
--Works on complex problems where analysis of situations requires in-depth evaluation of factors.
--Strong Layer 3 knowledge as this position will primarily focus on supporting Cisco''s Routing platforms.
--Knowledge of routing system architecture and the ability to independently troubleshoot complex routing, switching and forwarding issues.
--Strong documentation skills--to be utilized for case management, knowledge capture, defect management and Trainings.
--Excellent verbal communication skills--these skills are essential for this engineering role as most of the work being done is through the phone.
--Very strong Problem Solving skills
--Ability to drive recreates remotely--Many issues result in the engineer needing to perform a recreate of the customer problem in order to isolate the issue and resolve.
--Extensive Customer Service skills and experience.
--Candidate must be CCNP or equivalent in one of these technologies: Unified Communications, DataCenter, Security or Video (Tandberg or TelePresence)
--Experience in more than one of the four is a plus.
--Candidate must demonstrate strong collaboration skills and be effective in working within a team environment. Knowledge sharing amongst the team members is paramount.
