Sales & Marketing Manager
Location: Cleveland, OH (On-site)
Compensation: $65,000 Base Salary + Commission
Overview:
An established U.S.-based manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to lead business development and marketing efforts across OEM accounts, both domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate will drive growth through strategic planning, customer relationship management, and collaboration with internal departments. Industry experience in automotive, aerospace, hydraulics, medical, industrial, appliance, transportation, firearms/defense, or consumer products is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage OEM accounts across various industries with a focus on long-term relationship development and strategic growth.
- Oversee a national network of commissioned sales representatives, ensuring alignment with sales targets and corporate goals.
- Develop and implement detailed sales plans by territory and customer group, ensuring profitable account growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, customer service, and operations to deliver timely and competitive RFQs and proposals.
- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and support new product/program launches.
- Coordinate all marketing activities internally and with external vendors to enhance brand visibility, including digital presence, advertising, trade shows, literature, and promotions.
- Provide training and coaching to sales agencies, ensuring alignment with product knowledge, presentation standards, and sales strategies.
- Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate sales activity records and monitor key performance indicators.
- Monitor competitive trends, industry news, and customer needs to inform strategy and stay ahead of market shifts.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in a manufacturing or OEM-focused environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex accounts and lead a distributed sales team.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/reporting tools.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, industry events, and agency collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with industrial components is a plus.
