Key Responsibilities


  • Generate Loan Opportunities: Leverage your expertise and network to independently source and develop new SBA loan opportunities in your market.
  • Manage a Growing Portfolio: Build and manage a high-quality SBA loan portfolio in the Southeastern region, driving significant growth and profitability.
  • Originate SBA Loans: Ensure compliance with all SBA regulations while originating loans that align with both customer needs and bank standards.
  • Client Relationship Management: Conduct in-depth interviews to evaluate clients' financial status, creditworthiness, and collateral eligibility, tailoring solutions to their needs.
  • Streamline the Loan Process: Oversee the entire loan process from origination to closing, ensuring efficiency and a smooth client experience.
  • Cross-Sell and Build Relationships: Promote additional bank products and services, fostering long-term client relationships alongside your SBA loan accounts.
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Partner with senior management to develop and execute strategies that align with organizational and regional objectives.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the bank at local civic and community events to boost brand awareness and engage in impactful community outreach efforts.


Required Skills & Qualifications


  • Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of SBA lending, credit analysis, and financial concepts with the ability to structure complex loans effectively.
  • Proven Success: A history of self-sourcing and closing SBA loans, with a track record of generating at least $10MM in new loans annually.
  • Self-Motivated: Demonstrated ability to work independently, stay results-focused, and juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the loan process.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Relationship Builder: Proven ability to cross-sell banking products and services, with an emphasis on relationship-based selling strategies.


Preferred Experience


  • SBA Lending Experience: At least 5 years of experience in originating SBA loans, preferably within a community banking environment.
  • Relationship Banking: A solid track record of cross-selling bank products while managing and growing a diverse client portfolio.
