Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Security Engineer for our client in the Professional Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 3 Months Contract 

Location: Remote (Miami, FL)

Salary: $65.00-$68.00/Hourly

Role: Security Engineer

Primary Skills: Data Security

Role Description: The Security Engineer must have 5+ years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s security protocols to protect sensitive information from cyber threats. 

This role involves working collaboratively with various departments to ensure that security measures are embedded in every aspect of operations.

Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and manage robust security architectures and frameworks.

- Monitor network traffic for security incidents and respond quickly and effectively to mitigate risks.

- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify potential risks.

- Configure and maintain security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus software, encryption programs, and intrusion detection systems.

- Perform threat analysis and create strategies to counter identified threats.

- Develop, review, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.

- Engage in incident response activities, including detection, response, containment, and remediation.

- Continuously evaluate emerging security trends and integrate relevant ones into the organization's security program.

- Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices and policies.

- Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve security issues and implement solutions.

- Act as a liaison with law enforcement and other advisory bodies as necessary.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
