The primary responsibilities of this individual contributor position include support for development of advanced semiconductor devices with emphasis on multi-physics modeling, microfabrication process development, metrology and related material studies.
Additional responsibilities include support to: III-V foundry DOE and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts in nanofabrication related to HEMT device fabrication; GaN development efforts including advanced GaN HEMT materials devices, circuits, and applications; advanced thermal packaging efforts; new business capture; CRAD program execution; working with technical subcontracts.
Capture duties include working with senior capture team leaders in preparing technical briefings, oral customer briefings, strategy planning, engaging and developing customer interest, and proposal development.
Materials Research Engineer for M&MP will work with Senior PIs to develop CRAD program execution skills. This typically involves establishing CRAD program plans and budgets, technical leadership of multi-disciplinary teams of RF circuit and mechanical designers, preparing monthly and quarterly technical customer briefings, managing to schedule and cost constraints, working with external subcontractors.
Mentoring: Materials Research Engineer will work with a Principal Investigator to advance overall technical skills and develop R&D expertise in the forefront of Advanced Microelectronics.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Material Engineering; or equivalent field and 4+ years related experience or a PhD with 2 years of experience or 6 years and a BS.
Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and microfabrication..
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Material Science and Engineering. Experience with silicon carbide device fabrication, PDK development, TCAD, mask design, electron imaging, spectroscopy techniques, and device testing.
